Caroline was admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 1998. She was a police officer with Tasmania Police between 1987 and 1999 working in a wide variety of roles in the criminal justice system including Uniform policing, Coronial duties, Missing Persons/Cold Case Unit, Criminal Investigation and Prosecutions and completed her Bachelor of Laws during this time graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1995 with a Bachelor of Laws and in 1996 with a Graduate Certificate in Legal Practice.
Caroline completed her Articles of Apprenticeship at the Tasmanian Department of Public Prosecutions both in the criminal and civil divisions and Tasmania Police Prosecutions.
In recent years, Caroline has held Public Health Law and Policy roles with the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services. Caroline was a public and environmental heath prosecutor for the Director of Public Health and has a wide experience in the alcohol, tobacco and other drugs field. Caroline is in her final year of a Masters Degree in Corrections and Criminology at the University of Tasmania majoring in Therapeutic Jurisprudence, recidivism and rehabilitation.
Caroline sits on the Board of Eat Well Tasmania, (Director elect).
