Michael Kirby Chambers was established in late 2010. It is located in an historic two-storey sandstone building at 49 Davey St Hobart.

Michael Kirby Chambers was chosen to evoke the combination of integrity, intellectual robustness and fearlessness possessed by former High Court Justice Michael Kirby.

Those are the attributes to which each member of Chambers aspires.
